Honouring Service and Peace
Theme: Teaching the significance of Remembrance Day.
Activities: Read children's books about Remembrance Day, discussing themes of courage, sacrifice, and remembrance. Make various poppy crafts, such as 3D poppies, poppy wreaths, or poppy collages, to connect with the symbol.

All activities included for free! Drop-in and have fun. Limited craft supplies. First come, first serve.

Every month the Scarberian Homeschool Club welcomes autistic homeschoolers and their families to join our group meets. Here, our awesome autistic homeschoolers can discover valuable resources and connect with one another.

Meet us in the kids area of the library, we'll move the fun outdoors to Albert Campbell square, where there is a playground(weather permitting).

Theme: A cozy winter celebration with a focus on ice and cold.
Activities: Pillow fort building, hot chocolate bar, "freeze dance," and a movie.

Monthly Club Meet Themes

Saturday September 6th: Back-to-School Board Games Blast
Theme: Fun with board games and ice breakers before school starts.
Activities: Giant checkers, Jenga, Giant Monopoly, Battleship, Connect 4, Tug-of-War and more.

Saturday October 4th: Fall Harvest & Thankful Feast Potluck
Theme: Celebrating gratitude and the autumn season.
Activities: Create leaf rubbings, and nature art. Enjoy seasonal snacks like caramel apples. Each child brings a dish to share, write down things they are thankful for on paper leaves to create a "thankful tree".

 Saturday February 7th: Friendship and Kindness
Theme: Focused on friendship and giving.
Activities: Card making, a "kindness rocks" painting station, and a cookie decorating contest. 

Saturday March 7th: St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun Hunt & Club Raffle
Theme: Irish luck and treasure hunting.
Activities: Decorate green shamrocks, have a scavenger hunt for "gold coins" (chocolate coins or painted rocks), and play outdoor games like "leprechaun says". 

Saturday April 4th: Easter Egg Hunt, Earth Day Craft & Nature Walk
Theme: Celebrating Easter and protecting our environment.
Activities: A classic and popular activity, hide colourful eggs filled with treats for kids to find. Seed planting, nature-themed crafts using recycled materials, and a nature walk to observe local flora and fauna. 

Saturday May 2nd: Spring Garden Party
Theme: Blooming flowers and vibrant colours.
Activities: Plant flowers in small pots, have a "decorate your own sun hat" station, and create flower-themed snacks. 

Saturday June 6th: Summer Kick-Off Carnival & Club Raffle
Theme: A fun-filled festival to welcome summer.
Activities: Set up carnival games like ring toss and beanbag toss, have a face-painting station, and serve popcorn and cotton candy. 


 

Club Raffle

Club members get 1 Free raffle ticket to start. Raffle tickets cost $1 each. Any and all proceeds go directly towards funding the club.

Three prizes to be won.

First Prize: $10 Gift Card
Second Prize: LEGO Gadgets (Building Kit)
Third Prize: Weight For It! (Board Game)

Tickets can be purchased at our monthly group meets. Raffles will be held in December, March, and June. Draw will be done at the end of the group meet, so stick around til the end.
